The news piece, focussed around the first ever outing for Winnie-the-Pooh in the Evening News on December 24th 1925. BBC Countryfile

Aired on BBC One on the 11th February 2024. Matt Baker visits Pooh Corner to learn about the history of Winnie the Pooh and the stories that attract people to the 100 Akre Wood from across the world.

BBC News Museum

We were delighted when the BBC reporter Charlotte Wright popped into Pooh Corner on 07.12.2019 to be chat about the museum’s launch for broadcast across the South East. With TV and Radio presenter Gyles Brandreth taking to the small stage to open this special little place, we welcomed in some wonderful customers along for the event.

Great British Railway Journeys

We were so proud to have had Michael Portillo and the amazing BBC crew behind the Great British Railway Journeys. Here is the clip of Neil and Michael having a quick discussion on the history of the shop and Winnie-the-Pooh’s worldwide.

Museum Opening

On December 7th 2019, Pooh Corner opened the worlds first museum dedicated to A.A. Milne and Christopher Milne. Officially opened by the one and only Gyles Brandreth to a small but special crowd including the family who started Pooh Corner over 40 years ago. With over 100 exhibits and some very rare pieces, there isn’t a more complete collection in the UK (in Brandreths own words) of Milneana!

Gyles, an old friend of Christopher Robin Milne said “Christopher would approve” – you can’t get a better recommendation that that!

World Book Day 2021

To help celebrate World Book Day we are sharing this video we made for local schools on the Ashdown Forest about some of the books that would help children get into the world of Winnie the Pooh. We are sure there is something in it for everyone and hope you enjoy it.
